A man who was fed up by his neighbour's refusal to fix her adjoining fence has decided to take matters into his own hands.

Neighbourly disputes are often tricky because while you don't want them to take advantage of your kindness, you also don't want them to become mortal enemies either.

Perhaps somewhere between The Simpsons characters Ned Flanders and Homer Simpson is the perfect neighbour. Not someone too nice but also not an angry father who strangles his son.

One might argue that good fences make good neighbours.

Anyway, TikToker 'The Desi Chef' uploaded a video titled 'I have the worst neighbours in the world'.

In the clip, he explained how he has the 'worst neighbour' ever whose 'fence broke into my garden'.

He claims that the person living next door 'refused to fix it'.

“I showed her planning permission and she disagreed. So I went and painted her garden furniture,” writes the TikToker.

“Did it myself for £16.99 and my builder quoted £800.”

After showing his followers what her overgrown garden looked like, The Desi Chef is then seen spray painting the rebuilt fence.

“Me: Painting her furniture using overspray,” he penned.

While many TikTok users in the comments agreed with his point of view, some were questioning whether or not the neighbour had enough money to fix the fence.

"It’s left side looking at the building from the bottom of the garden and left looking at your house from the front. Maybe she has not got the money," one person wrote.

To which The Desi Chef replied: "She said she hasn’t got the money, orders loads of pallets of bathroom stuff the day after. Felt insulted!"

"I always thought left side of the fence is your responsibility," questioned another user.

But the TikTok creator explained: "It isn’t in this area 🥺 rang the council!"

Whereas a third person also thought: "There’s no law to say you have to have a fence?

"Most people just want them. Good for you replacing it, bad for you spraying her stuff."

"It’s all rusted and covered in bramble the stuff that [I] ended [up] over spraying," replied the TikToker.

"So… it’s not the end of the world of course."

Someone else added: "Unfortunately fencing costs alot now with wood prices.

"Thats why I had to build my one as couldn't afford labour on it too."

"Yeah that’s the best way forward, hence the reason me not paying someone as the prices were extortion!" said The Desi Chef.
