A man whose wife made a chilling revelation after being effectively dead for almost half an hour has described what happened in what he feared would be her final moments.

Most of us will have no idea what dying is like until the moment inevitably comes, and as a result the question of what happens after death is one that's plagued humanity for centuries.

Everyone has their own beliefs about what comes after your heart stops beating, but Brian Hines got a unique insight after his wife, Tina, suffered a cardiac arrest in 2018.

Hines called 911 in a panic and told the operator he thought his wife was 'having a heart attack' after she passed out.

Recalling the terrifying scene, per CBN, Hines said: “I've never seen anybody with their eyes rolled back and-and literally starting to turn purple.”

Hines' neighbour tried to administer CPR, but told the husband: "Brian, I can't do this. I'm not doing it right."

Hines put the phone down and started trying to push on Tina's chest until first responders arrived and paramedics tried twice to shock Tina's heart.

"They did it a third time and I'm looking at them going, 'Guys, is-is her heart beating? Can you get her heart to beat? Please God, please make her heart beat," Hines recalled.

Tina was rushed to hospital while paramedics continued trying to resuscitate her, with doctors later explaining 'there was probably 27-28 minutes' where Tina had 'limited or no oxygen'.

Hines stayed in the waiting room and prayed in 'desperation', saying: "God, take everything from my life, if you'll give me back Tina."

Hines prayed while his wife was in hospital.

Doctors assured Hines that his wife was alive, and he went to see her while she was on a ventilator. Doctors needed to know if she could breathe on her own, so he leaned over his wife and said: "I told them that you are superwoman. Can you show him that you can breathe on your own?"

Tina succeeded, and once she was conscious Hines gave her a notebook on which she started drawing.

"She just started making marks, and I couldn't tell what it was, and I was almost shaking. I was fixed. I just held the book steady because I didn’t want it to drop," he recalled.

"We figured out that she wrote I-T-S-R-E-A-L. 'What's it's real?' And I go, 'The pain? The hospital?'... Eyes are closed. She's fully vented. She's moving all this. No, and then my daughter goes, 'Heaven?' And she goes – she nods yes.”

Tina elaborated on her experience when she was able to speak again, saying: "I just wanted to share that I saw Jesus face to face and the unbelievable rest and peacefulness of what I was experiencing was Jesus standing there with His arms open wide; and right behind Jesus standing there was this incredible glow it was the most vibrant and beautiful yellow."

Tina thankfully recovered from her cardiac arrest, but her experience has stayed with her and she is confident in what she saw, saying: "Jesus is real. Heaven is real."
