As we enter the hottest months of the year some of us will be going to bed in nothing but our birthday suit - but what about the avid pyjama-wearing part of the population?
A study by Furniture Choice revealed that 23% of adults in the UK prefer to sleep completely au-natural, which means the majority of us like to cosy up in some form of nightwear.
But over on reddit, people have been explaining why they don't bare it all at bedtime.

One user said: "I sweat profusely sometimes and it is just easier to change than to go back to sleep in a puddle.
"But, often that is not enough."
Others shared these concerns with one person replying: "I sweat like absolute crazy at night.

"It's been a problem for years and has permanently ruined every set of sheets, bed protectors and mattress I ever owned as an adult."
Some people put their reasons for not sleeping naked down to past traumatising events that are enough to scar anyone for life.
"I used to sleep naked in college," one wrote "then the house I was renting in had a small fire caused by an exchange student putting tin foil in the microwave.
"I ran outside in sheer panic because my room was above the kitchen and flooded with smoke.

"It was winter.
"There were firetrucks and my housemates outside.
"I was in Timberlands and only Timberlands."
Shivering cold in nothing but a pair of winter boots doesn't paint the most pleasant image in the mind to say the least.
Being naked during an emergency was a common theme in the thread with one person saying they'd been in a similar situation themselves.

Expressing their frustrations with sleeping naked they added:" Some of y'all haven't been traumatized waking up to an emergency naked and it shows.
"You only stand outside naked and barefoot in the snow once."
Bed bugs and creepy crawlies finding holes and crevices to bury themselves into was another popular reason people choose to soldier the hot summer nights fully clothed for.
The thread seemed to have brought back some uncomfortable memories for one user who replied: "Oh god, I had a mosquito bite me on my testicles when I was a young teen.

"Mosquito bites result in large bulging itchy spots for me.
"The amount of scratching that had to be done to maintain my sanity weighed against the pain of the delicate skin being abused too much.
"It was awful, would not recommend."
If there's going to be one argument that convinces you to not take your kit off before bed, then that just might be the one.
