A woman was left mortified after she got her passport photos back only to find they'd been edited, leaving her with a very dodgy barnet.

TikTok user Katie Fiore, or @katiefiore898, managed to see the funny side of the mishap and posted a clip in which she explained: "Wore a bun to get my passport pictures but they said it was too big, they just had to cut it off."

Not ideal.

In the clip we can see Katie with her piled in a bun on top of her head, before she moves to reveal the erm... interesting edit that has been made to her photo.

Fellow TikTok users found the whole situation pretty bloody funny, with one person writing: "This made me cry! Passport photos are the worst."

Another wrote: "This will never not be iconic."

A third said: "I'm sorry about how hard I laughed at this."

Someone else asked: "Why didn't they just ask you to take your hair down?"

Katie told her followers she had no clue that they would edit the photos and didn't know she'd been given a trim until the snaps were printed out and handed over to her.

But all's well that ends well and Katie confirmed that after seeing what they'd done to her hair she requested another photo.

While Katie was fortunate enough to spot the mix-up and get herself a new set of photos done, a woman from California was not so lucky...

Lesley Pilgrim, from Laguna Hills, California, forgot to remove her face covering while having a new photo taken for her driving licence. It appeared that the situation was sorted after the photographer realised and took another shot without the mask.

However, something clearly went wrong somewhere along the line, because when her ID turned up, it was the masked up photo printed on her ID. Not ideal.

Law student Lesley said: "I thought 'This is a joke - this is my life'.

"At first I just kind of stared at it, it took some time to process, then I started thinking, 'Oh gosh, as a law student this can't be legal!'

"If I give this to a police officer he's going to think it's fake and I'm going to get in trouble. I started thinking about all the legal ramifications."

Thankfully, the DMV has confirmed that she will be entitled to a new licence free-of charge.
