The 27-year-old husband of an 81-year-old priest who recently died has said that he's now on the lookout for a new romance after barring some of his deceased husband's family from his cremation.

Yep, remember him? Well, Florin Marin is back for yet another interview.

This time, he says he's looking forward to the future after his husband Philip Clements sadly died alone in Romania because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Ex-vicar Clements sold his house and moved to Romania to be with Marin, who is 55 years his junior, several years ago. They split up, but then later got back together.

Anyway, this topsy-turvy tale - which is made the more complex by the fact that Clements left his entire estate to Marin - is moving into a new chapter, at least according to an interview that Marin gave to The Sun.

He said: "My plans for my future - I will get in love with someone else.

"I am only 27 years old. The life, it's in front of me. I hope to find someone nice.

"I know that I don't find someone like Philip, never. Philip will remain in my heart all my life."

Florin also confirmed that he hadn't invited members of Clements' family to a service celebrating his life because they've accused him of only being in the relationship for the money and of being - he says - 'a leech'.

Speaking outside a crematorium in Bucharest, Marin said: "I don't invite his family here. They can't come because of Covid anyway.

"It was a pleasure to invite one of Philip's brothers, Charles, but Tony and Bryan, no I won't accept."

As he rightly says, nobody from the family could travel to attend the funeral, regardless of whether they had an invite.

He also said that he's not yet collected the £150,000 life insurance left to him in Clements' will, but that he'll definitely be doing so.

Marin continued: "For the moment, I don't apply for the insurance.

"It wasn't the moment because I waited first to be Philip in peace and to be cremated.

"I will though, of course."

As well as that, Marin stands to inherit his late husband's £2,000 per month pension, and has received £10,000 for his funeral.

The pair got together in 2017, and Clements sold his house in Sandwich to move to Romania with Marin.

As we've covered, they had something of a turbulent relationship, but were together at the end living in a flat in the Romanian capital.
