Lad with 'Toad' hairdo reacts after photo of him and mates in Ibiza goes viral

A lad who has been absolutely roasted on Twitter over his barnet has reacted to his viral notoriety.

It all started when a bloke, who goes by Cartz, shared a picture of him and his mates at DJ Ben Hemsley's pool party set at the Ibiza Rocks festival on Monday (18 September) with the caption: “Last night was eventful to say the least.”

It wasn’t long before people were absolutely losing it in the comments, unsure of whether to poke fun at the fact that three of the lads were rocking dubious looking man bags, or the lad whose bowl cut and beard combo was giving stone age vibes.

Some even compared it to 2019’s viral ‘four lads in jeans’ picture, which ended up spawning a sea shanty cover and even a statue.

There were some absolute zingers in the comments, with one hair-related putdown reading: “When you let your mum cut your hair and she says you look handsome.”

Another quipped: “Toad off Super Mario at the end there.”

A third penned: “That kids barber is evil. Medieval.”

A fourth shared the iconic 'four lads in jeans' picture, with the caption: "These boys gonna be f**king fuming."

When he wasn't been compared to Toad, a number of commenters joked that the lad's haircut was inspired by Grumio from ITV's Ancient Rome set sitcom Plebs.

Ouch.

Well, it turns out the poor lad - Kyal - is aware of his viral infamy. Perhaps this might prompt him to get to the barbers ASAP?

Cartz posted a follow-up tweet with the caption: “When you're getting violated on Twitter so you try to pack yourself away.”

Poor Kyal. Maybe in a few years he’ll get a statue and a sea shanty cover too.

Cartz, who got to go viral without being compared to a video game character with a giant bulbous head, was loving life, writing in a follow-up tweet: "When do the brand deals and club invites start? Asking for a friend."

Tagging musical festival Ibiza Rocks, he added: "This level of exposure deserves a free vip holiday."

Reflecting further on his viral fame, Cartz resolved he really ought to watch Plebs to better understand the jokes ripping into his mate, writing: "After recent events, I have come to the conclusion that I need to watch whatever this 'salve grumio' is out of because I feel like a whole lot of jokes went straight over my head."

He concluded: "One things for certain. It's a good job I didn't wear a man bag."
