Woman Staying In Travelodge Is Given Room With The Most Bizarre View

When you ask for a room with a view, the last thing you’d think of is this.

When you ask for a room with a view, the last thing you’d think of is what this woman was faced with when staying at a Travelodge. Check it out:

Listen, we all know the Travelodge is far from a five-star hotel experience. But even so, TikToker Scarlett Cassidy’s bizarre view from her room has left the internet baffled.

In a recent video, which has been viewed more than 925k times, Scarlett scans the hotel room, which looks fine enough.

Text over the footage reads: “Last year, we stayed in a Travelodge. This was the view from the window…”

As she pulls away the curtains, we’re then shown said view – a very busy service station.

Yes, mere metres away from Scarlett and her family is a Costa, a KFC and dozens of people enjoying the food court and going about their day.

Who needs privacy, eh?

The clip has received hundreds of comments from the TikTok community, with one person joking: “At least you’d know if there was a queue.”

Another quipped, “Won’t be smoking out of that window then,” while a third chimed in: “I would love this idk why, probably to be in that proximity to KFC.”

Others were less forgiving, asking the TikToker what she expected when booking the room.

“You’re in a service station hotel, surely you weren’t expecting a sea view,” wrote one, while another said: “Better view than from most Travelodges.”

Although Scarlett didn’t confirm the location of the hotel, she has liked comments saying it was the Travelodge near East Midlands Airport.

The room appears to be at the Travelodge in Moto Service Area, near EM Airport.

This particular location is situated in the Moto Service Area, which would explain the unusual setting.

Hopefully their stay was followed by a journey somewhere a little more luxurious – although, as others said in the comments, you can’t argue with being that close to a KFC.

While we’re on the subject of Travelodge, a woman recently revealed what the company’s logo is, as it seems we’ve been living a lie all this time.

TikTok user @chxrll shared a video in which she explained that despite what anyone else may think, it's actually the head of someone tucked up in bed sleeping.

It turns out that loads of people didn't know what the logo was, with some suggesting that it was just some well chosen colours, others suggesting that it was hills, and another remarkably saying that they thought it was a seagull.

It turns out that it isn't just us folks who had no idea what the logo was, because even some people who actually work for Travelodge didn't seem to know what the logo really was.

One person commented on the video: "I work for Travelodge and I've never realised."

Well, there you have it. Now that you know, you'll never walk past another Travelodge hotel without glancing towards the logo with a knowing nod.
