Adult film photographer reveals the ‘worst’ porn he’s ever witnessed behind the scenes

For some reason, we have a fascination with the adult film industry and what really happens behind the scenes.

I mean, we all know the content is pretty well choreographed, like in any film or TV programme.

But for those working in the background, it's far from pretty.

Writing on a Reddit thread from three years ago, various photographers revealed the truth behind what we think happens on set - and what actually happens.

One person who used to shoot fetish and BDSM content in university decided to carry on with it for a while after graduation because the money was decent.

Between 2010 and 2016, he would use his degree in photography and his ability to tie up knots from 'boy scout' to help him film.

"I'm very good at knots so a friend got me into it by helping tie up men and women and photographing them for her fetish site. This led to me doing tons of more work," he explained.

Opening up about the 'worst' type of content to film, he added: "The worst is feeder porn work.

"These poor women would just eat and eat on camera and then vomit and gag all over themselves it was pretty rough stuff to photograph and film.

"Also it would make me kinda of sad because these women would gain large amounts of weight quickly between each time you'd work with them and it just didn't seem healthy.

"As has been said already the worst part is the smells.

"Group sex scenes, and the feeder scenes the smells were enough to make you gag some times."

Lovely stuff.

The good news is that the money, he claims, was 'pretty good' at the time.

"Usually on set days was about $60 an hour paid out in 4 hour blocks so even if you worked 6 hours you’d get paid for 8 which was cool," the photographer admitted.

"You're an independent contractor/freelance even if you tend to just work for one company.

"I’m mostly out of that world now with the occasional shooting for some girls who I’ve stayed in contact with to shoot for their OnlyFans pages."

In the comments section, some joked about the 'correlation between being a former boy Scout and getting into BDSM'.

"I'm an Eagle scout, and I'm into rope/shibari because of it. Another Eagle I know is the same. All the knot work in scouting taught me to appreciate the artistry of rope BDSM. Not the biggest sample size, but I'm two for two," one person wrote, as another added: "Make that three. I never got up to Eagle, but I taught Pioneering merit badge at scout camp, so I know all the knots. And I've used most of them in bed."
