Having filmed well over 900 scenes, Angela White is billed as the world’s top adult star.
She’s regularly won awards for Female Performer of the Year and has been putting in the graft in the adult industry since 2003.
But not only has she worked as both an actor and director, but White has a first-class honours degree in gender studies, having researched women’s experiences in the Australian porn industry.
So, it’s pretty fair to say she knows her stuff with quite the share of experiences.

And during a chat on Triple M Breakfast with Beau, Cat and Woodsy last summer, White was asked about the ‘biggest misconception’ in the porn industry.
The Aussie star simply says there are ‘a lot of misconceptions’ which let’s be honest, might not come as a total surprise.

“I would say that people still don’t think performers make the choice to get into porn,” White explained. “That people in porn are only there because they have no other options or that the only reason you could ever do the work is because you’re so incredibly traumatised.
“And all of that is just not true.”
The hosts followed up on this misconception by asking her if she ever has people approach her and say that they reckon they ‘could nail’ doing her job without quite understanding it.
“It’s usually men actually,” White says, correcting the host who seemed to presume it would be women.
“It’s usually men coming up to me and saying, ‘Yeah I’ve got a big member. I think I could do it. I can have sex at home for hours.’
“And I’m like, ‘Well at home it’s a little different to on set.’”
White explained that it takes a ‘very special person to be able to get the job done’.
She also shut down a bit of a misconception around size in the adult industry as she said there are ‘definitely’ men who can be ‘too big’.
“Some of the d**ks, I’m like ‘this is unnecessary’,” White joked.
The star is a bit of a veteran of the industry and fans previously suggested she should give it a rest for a bit.
“After doing over 900 scenes isn’t seriously time to consider taking a break for once,” one user commented on Instagram.
But the adult star simply responded: “Do a job you love and never work a day of your life [shrug emoji].”
White has been adamant that she loves ‘my life and my job’ while shutting down misconceptions about the industry.
