In a recent interview producer and showrunner, Tony Gilroy, explained that ‘we put Andor in a big hole…five years earlier, he’s a very different man’ which helps viewers understand how ‘people change’. With Andor being a ‘leader, a seducer and capable of changing his mind’ in Rogue One, Gilroy intends to show the progression from the man he was, to the man he is becoming using childhood flashbacks. Clever.
The following cast members have been confirmed for Andor:
The first two episodes of Andor are scheduled to be released on the 31st of August 2022 on Disney Plus. Episodes are expected to drop weekly each Wednesday. Being substantially longer than other Star Wars series, such as The Mandalorian (8 episodes) or WandaVision (9 episodes), Disney plus is giving its dedicated viewers a treat.
