Andor: Plot, Cast, Release Date And Trailer

All you need to know about Andor, the Star Wars Rogue One prequel.

If you are a Star Wars fanatic make sure not to miss Andor, the Rogue One (2016) prequel on Disney Plus. Treating viewers to a total of twenty-four episodes, which will be divided into two seasons, this series will be a must watch.

What Is Andor About?

Andor is set five years before the events in Rogue One. It follows the main character of Cassian Andor as he joins the Rebel Alliance. Exploring a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, it focuses on Andor’s realisation of the difference he can make whilst rebelling against the Empire.

In a recent interview producer and showrunner, Tony Gilroy, explained that ‘we put Andor in a big hole…five years earlier, he’s a very different man’ which helps viewers understand how ‘people change’. With Andor being a ‘leader, a seducer and capable of changing his mind’ in Rogue One, Gilroy intends to show the progression from the man he was, to the man he is becoming using childhood flashbacks. Clever.
