A UK crowd has left Beyonce well and truly shocked after she asked them to sing 'Love On Top'.

Beyonce kicked off the first UK date of her Renaissance World Tour on Wednesday (17 May), and has since been left utterly stunned after thousands of fans attended the Principality Stadium in Cardiff to witness Queen B take the stage.

The star was totally blown away by the buzzing audience who were more than happy to partake in a good old-fashioned sing-a-long to her hit single from 2011.

The magnificent moment was captured on one of the big screens in the Welsh stadium, when Beyonce stretched the mic out towards the crowd before they chanted back in perfect unison, the lyrics to the smash-hit 'Love on Top'.

It was definitely a 'wow' moment for the singer and, clearly, for fans alike.

Nicola Stacey Jones, 54, from Risca in Wales, told PA that Beyoncé’s voice was 'like velvet'.

“The atmosphere is electrifying, the music is vibrating around the stadium so your heart bounces. Beyonce is pitch perfect with moves to match,” she said.

“It’s one of those tick box… mind-blowing, memorable moments – I was there sort of thing.”

Sian Blackham, 44, added: “I’m a huge Beyoncé fan and have loved her since her career took off with Destiny’s Child.

“I’m with my best friend, goddaughter and her auntie. This is our fourth time seeing Beyoncé together, the first since the pandemic.

“We feel so lucky to be at her first show in the UK and I’m super grateful to my best friend and goddaughter who secured the tickets – no easy feat.”

People were also quick to flock to social media to share their reactions to the incredible evening.

One Twitter user penned: "Fave part of Beyonce live @ Cardiff was seeing how shook she was when she asked the audience to help her do love on top acapella and everyone served the most perfect vocals, key changes and harmonies in perfect tune."

They added: "Welcome 2 Wales b X."

A second wrote: "It was quite the moment !!! What a concert !!! Just got home still buzzing."

A third tweeted: "The moment Beyoncé realises that she’s performing in the true land of song.. Vocals on point Cardiff."

Indeed.

"That’s special," posted a fourth while a final member of the Bey-hive added: "Cardiff crowd at Beyonce singing 'Love on Top' - wow."

Wow is right.

Who knows what else is in store as the iconic Renaissance tour makes its way across the nation?
