Bradley Walsh walks away from The Chase player after she won big after 'worst cash-builder'

Bradley Walsh walks away from The Chase player after she won big after 'worst cash-builder'

The presenter couldn't believe his eyes while watching the incredible comeback

Bradley Walsh was almost too stunned to stay in the studio when a contestant on The Chase managed to win big despite having 'the worst cash-builder ever'.

It's probably a bit of an understatement to say that contestant Janty didn't get off to the best start when her episode of the ITV game show aired on Thursday (15 June).

Janty had a poor first round on the show.

Fans of The Chase will know that players go through a cash-builder round in which they attempt to rack up their prize pot by answering a series of questions, but by the time Janty's round to an end, she'd failed to answer a single question correctly.

"Did that actually just happen?" one viewer wrote after watching the disastrous round. "That was without a doubt the worst cash builder I’ve ever seen."

Next up, it was time to face the Chaser. Janty had to go up against Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan, who decided to tempt the contestant with a high offer of £40,000.

Janty successfully beat The Chaser in one round.

A lot of people in Janty's position might have decided to play it safe, but she took a 'YOLO' approach. Or rather, a 'YOHO'.

"You're only here once," she told Walsh, opting to take up The Vixen on her £40,000 offer.

It soon became clear that Janty apparently just needed a bit of time to warm up, as during this round she managed to outsmart the Chaser and rattle through the questions, ending her run with the entire £40,000 in her pot.

Like everyone at home, Walsh was stunned by the turn of events and ran off set, arms in the air, shouting: "I cannot believe that!"

He congratulated the contestant after returning to the stage, saying: "Janty that was tremendous. That will go down for me in Chase history. That was absolutely thrilling. I loved every second of that."

Bradley Walsh walked off stage after Janty's success.

Viewers at home also shared their astonishment, with one saying Janty had 'played Jenny like a proper hustler'.

It was an incredible moment for the player, but unfortunately luck didn't stay on her side.

Janty was the only contestant to make it through to the final, but while she managed to correctly answer six questions, The Vixen was able to catch up to her in just 34 seconds.

It might not have been the outcome Janty was hoping for after her earlier success, but her incredible performance against the Chaser will certainly be remembered on the show for a long time.
