People are doing bizarre things during this period of lockdown. One guy threw a tennis ball over his house, ran through and caught it in his back garden, another has completed a full marathon on his balcony while Ariana Grande has been recreating scenes from Waterboy:
The 26-year-old has been keeping herself (and many others) entertained by miming along to the 1998 Adam Sandler classic. Well she's either miming or pulls off one hell of a Bobby Boucher impersonation.
The 'Thank U, Next' singer wasn't a one woman band either because she enlisted the help of her pal Elizabeth Gillies and her mama Joan Grande.
People loved their quarantined performances so much that it didn't take long for Adam Sandler himself to catch wind of what was going down.
Sending a message of admiration, Sandler wrote: "Bobby Boucher approves of this message," before going on to add: "A tough day for Bobby...Vicki...and Mama."
Grande herself took on the role of Bobby Boucher while Joan Grande played Mama Boucher (originally portrayed by Kathy Bates) and Elizabeth Gillies starred as Vicki - Bobby's main love interest.
Who knows, depending on how long this lockdown goes on for, the trio could be recreating the entire film and we wouldn't be complaining.
Gillies congratulated Ariana, saying: "I could honestly watch you as Bobby Boucher all day," and, not one to take all the credit for herself, she replied: "u and @joangrande transformed. truly soul shaking performances from u both". We couldn't agree more, bravo guys. Bravo.
It wasn't just Sandler and the stars of the remake that were impressed either. One fan wrote: "This made me go and watch the actual Waterboy again! when i watched it this time tho .. i knew this and the other scene by heart".
Another wrote: "I did not know I needed to see Ariana Grande recreating Waterboy scenes but I'm so f**king here for it," and a third added: "I respected @ArianaGrande for her music before but love her for recreating Waterboy".
dying that @ArianaGrande and @LizGillies love the Waterboy as much as I do, this quarantine is really making me feel more connected to other humans in VERY unprecedented ways lol

The original film follows Bobby Boucher, a waterboy for a college football team who discovers he has a unique tackling ability and becomes a member of the team.
Bobby is signed as the new star player, but he must keep it secret from his overbearing and domineering mother, Joan Grande. I mean, Mama Boucher.
More of this, please.
