Breathe, just breathe!

Andddddd relax. There's no need to sit curled-up in a ball by your speaker system just yet. Ed Sheeran has replied to those who have questioned whether he is set to quit the music industry for good.

There were strong rumours that after his smash album Divide, Ed could be set to walk away.

Divide, as we know, has dominated the charts left, right and centre. You only had to look at Spotify back in March to see that 'United Kingdom Top 50' playlist was just Ed Sheeran followed by Ed Sheeran followed by Ed Sheeran - I could go on. In fact, all 16 songs from the album were listed.

On Sunday, MTV tweeted: "Is Ed Sheeran really quitting the music forever??"

Within the article, a source had reportedly told the Daily Star: "Ed has pretty much achieved everything there is to achieve in music.

"He absolutely loves what he does and is riding the wave of his success at the moment, but at the same time he wants a more normal life."

It wouldn't be surprising if Ed struggled to go and collect his McDonald's Monopoly stickers without anybody recognising it.

Mind you, could he afford such a meal? Despite earning the best part of £30,000 he only limits himself to £1,000 per month.

It does mean, that should he retire, he would have plenty to live off.

Luckily, Ed put us all at ease, by tweeting a very simple response to MTV: "Das Bollocks."

We already know that Ed is not only one of the greatest musicians out there, but he's also a loveable guy who does so much beyond music. So, with that in mind, even if he did step away we'd still find a reason to love him.

Only the other day, as his tour came to Manchester, Ed took time out to meet a young boy, Ollie, who was suffering from Battens disease.

The six-year-old, whose illness is fatal and for which there is no known cure, was made up to see his hero, whose music has got him through some of his toughest hours.

The ultimate LAD is a title about as rare as a Sunderland win this season, but if the award was to go to someone, Ed would be in with a shout.
