Katie Price bought herself a pink mobility scooter to get around when she was banned from driving back in February.

The 41-year-old model showed off her new whip on YouTube and explained she splashed out on the scooter after she was banned for three months for being drunk while in charge of her Range Rover.

The scooter, which likely cost around £900 ($1,100), has a new souped-up engine and is painted pink.

In the video she jokingly calls it her 'favourite car' before hopping on it and saying: "The reason I bought this was because when I was banned from driving, I thought there's no way they're stopping me going on the road.

"So, I got one of these, got it done pink, put a bigger engine in it...

"And, unfortunately, I went off-roading and got a flat tyre so it actually doesn't work so now it just collects cobwebs."

She then added that she told her mum she would give it to her 'sooner rather than later' - I'm sure she'll be delighted.

As well as the three month driving ban, Katie was also ordered to pay a total of £2,425 ($3,017), which included a fine for £1,500 ($1,866).

She was arrested in October last year after police found her drunk in the back seat of her car while in Greenwich.

The scooter now has a flight tyre and is out of use.

She told officers a mystery man had been driving, but Judge Nigel Dean said Katie wasn't a 'credible witness' and she was handed the ban.

In court, Katie said she had drunk 'three or four porn star martinis' while celebrating her boyfriend Kris Boyson's 30th birthday. She said she gave her keys to one of his friends to drive her back home but couldn't remember being involved in a crash - telling the court: "I was really drunk. I'm such a lightweight."

A separate charge of drink-driving was dropped due to lack of evidence.

Speaking outside of court immediately after she was banned, she told reporters: "It got proven today there was no evidence at all of me drink-driving, so I rest my case on that.

"I get my driving licence back on 24 May which means I can go car shopping - let's ban the pink car."

Just last week, Katie vowed never to buy herself a pink motor again - telling FlexFM: "My pink cars are going because they get me into trouble."

Well, that's one way of looking at it, I suppose.
