Kelly Brook Slid Into Idris Elba’s DMs When She Was ‘Tipsy’

Kelly Brook has confessed to sliding into Idris Elba's DMs when drunk... well, she's only human.

The model admitted to being so 'taken aback' when she came face-to-face with the Luther star that she pretended to work at the bar they were in, mixed him a cocktail and then 'slipped into his DMs' the following morning.

Sadly for her, he told her the cocktail 'tasted awful'. Awkward.

Speaking on Heart Drive to her co-host JK, the 41-year-old said: "The last time I saw Idris Elba was in a champagne bar and I was pretty tipsy.

"And I saw him, and like most women, was taken a bit kind of like, taken aback.

"And I went behind the bar and I started pretending I worked there, and asked him if he wanted a drink."

However, she awoke the next day to a killer hangover and a little bit of regret.

She went on: "So I went to my Twitter, because I didn't obviously have his number or anything. And I slipped into his DMs... I can't believe I'm telling this story...

"I think I did say something, 'I hope you enjoyed the cocktail I made you last night'.

"His response was - I've got it here, this was 2014 - he said, 'It was awful thought that counts though, babe, nice to meet you'.

"And I said, 'Oh gosh, no, really well at least it looked pretty', I think I'd put some stuff in it, and I said, 'Nice to meet you, by the way I have a really bad hangover'.

"He went, 'Haha! Just have a lie in', and that was it. That was the last I heard from him! How embarrassing. How embarrassing.

"I got the message. He shut me down."

Thankfully, Brook has been able to move on from the embarrassing incident and has been happily coupled up with her boyfriend Jeremy Parisi since 2015.

Elba tied the knot to model Sabrina Dhowre in 2019, after getting down on one-knee for a romantic proposal during a screening of his flick Yardie.

The pair met in 2017, while he was filming The Mountain Between Us in Canada.

Speaking to People Magazine about the start of their relationship, he said: "Falling in love while making a movie about falling in love is pretty special."
