Silver-haired TV host Phillip Schofield is a very busy man. When he's not presenting This Morning or Dancing On Ice, he's scooping up National Television Awards. And when he's not winning awards, he's getting off his face at after-parties with Holly Willoughby.
However, even with his jam-packed schedule, ol' Phil still manages to find the time to crack his followers up on social media.
He's known for his Snapchat shenanigans and for occasionally wading into comment sections to give people a piece of his mind. So, when some of his fans decided to have a pop at his admittedly pretty 'out there' choice of suit for his daughter's birthday, it didn't take long for him to jump in and fire some shots back.
More often than not, it's co-star Holly who steals the fashion headlines, but this time it was Schofield himself in the spotlight - thanks in no small part to a rather striking two-piece suit from Noose & Monkey.
Phil shared an image on Instagram of him posing in the outfit before attending daughter Ruby's 22nd birthday bash, along with the caption: "Thank you @davidobrien75 for sourcing my #doubledouble @nooseandmonkey suit #inlove #hit".
But not all of his followers were as taken with it as he was.
"@schofe when you are finished with your suit can I get it to make into cushions pleasw?!" asked on commenter.
"You been taking style tips from Keith Lemon??" quizzed another.
But when one Insta user by the name of jayne_wilson_1960 stuck her nose in, commenting, "Sorry phil do not like," Schofield hit back as quick as a flash, saying, "sorry jayne do not care".
His followers were thrilled by his response, with many commenting to praise him.
"I agree," said one. "Who in hell's name should care what others think of the clothes we wear. There are much more important things to worry us all. Does anybody think that he cares a hoot. Absolutely not. He won't lose any sleep."
"Don't listen to Jane Phil I love it, [sic]" said another jazzy suit advocate.
OK, we'll admit the suit does look like something from a 1970s episode of Top Of The Pops, especially for a chap in his 50s, but who cares, really? If you like it, Phil, crack on and whatever the Insta trolls say, just keep doing you.
