Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner has told people to 'stay inside' and not to be 'stupid' as many countries enforce social distancing to help slow the spread of coronavirus - also appearing to make a specific dig at actor Ant-Man Evangeline Lilly, who recently argued that some people 'value freedom over their lives'.

Turner was joined by her husband Joe Jonas for an Instagram Live stream yesterday, which featured her showing him how to make a good ol' English brew, while also responding to fans' questions.

But Turner also used the time to address a more serious topic, telling others to exercise the social distancing that world leaders have called for.

You see, while some celebs have been encouraging their followers to simply stay at home, others have been going slightly against the grain, including Vanessa Hudgens and Evangeline Lilly - the latter of whom announced on Instagram earlier this week that it was 'business as usual' for her and her family.

Lilly, 40, revealed she had just dropped her kids off 'at gymnastics camp', adding: "They all washed their hands before going in."

Responding to backlash, Lilly then said: "I have two young kids. Some people value their lives over their freedom, some people value freedom over their lives."

But this clearly isn't a stance shared by Turner, who - appearing to reference Lilly's diatribe - said on Instagram: "Stay inside. Don't be f***ing stupid, even if you count your 'freedom' over - I don't know, what is it? Your health?

"I don't give a ffff about your freedom. You could be infecting other people, other vulnerable people around you by doing this.

"So stay inside guys."

Many nations have been told to social distance themselves in a bid to help slow down the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson had warned in one of this week's daily coronavirus briefings that the government would take more steps to enforce social distancing if it needed to.

He said: "We're absolutely emphatic about people avoiding social gatherings, and if we do need to more around that, we will."

Johnson also stated he hopes to 'turn the tide' of coronavirus within 12 weeks, but that this could only be done with everyone's cooperation.

"I am absolutely confident we can turn the tide within the next 12 weeks," he said, adding that he believes we can 'send the virus packing'.
