Tom Felton spent more than 10 years playing Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, and certainly made for a name for himself as the Slytherin bad boy.

However, he didn't exactly get what he wanted when he tried out the official Hogwarts Sorting Hat.

Felton strolled onto the Wizarding World website, formerly known as Pottermore, to see whether it would put him in his rightful place.

After letting it do its calculations, he was shocked when it spat out the answer: Hufflepuff.

Not that there's anything wrong with the house created by Welsh witch Helga Hufflepuff, but, I mean, come on. Tom even listed his name on the site as Draco Malfoy and it still sent him to the wrong house.

He posted the results on Instagram, where it's been liked by nearly half a million people.

"A sad day....on so many levels," he captioned the photo.

But he needn't be too worried. People assigned to Hufflepuff are described as hard working, dedicated, patient and loyal, and are thought to honour fair play. That's nothing to be sniffed at.

Tom was recently revealed to have added his name to Cameo, a service that allows fans to sling celebrities a bit of money in exchange for a shout-out.

A shout-out from Draco Malfoy is perfect for any Harry Potter fan - although you'd need to be a pretty big fan, as it will set you back more than £200 (£206.67/$249, to be precise).

By the sounds of it though Tom Felton - who is best known for his portrayal of Harry's wizarding adversary - offers good value for money with his shout-outs, as he has a 4.9 star rating on Cameo, where he offers his services.

Tom Felton's customers appear to be happy with his service.

One happy customer's review reads: "Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!! The Wizarding World is our daughter's escape from her struggles with Asperger's and social anxiety.

"You will never know what it means to us as parents to have someone like you take the time to do this for her. Truly, thank you from not just the bottom of my heart, but from my whole heart. I just may have to rethink my stance on Draco Malfoy. Just kidding. You are SO AWESOME!!!"

Another says: "Thank you Tom it was amazing, she loved it, I loved it too! Thank you so much for making both of us happy! Love you!"

The videos last around 30 to 40 seconds and customers get to submit personalised requests to Tom, who completes the shout-out within a week.
