Viewers tuning into Channel 4's Big Fat Quiz of Everything last night were left distracted by host Jimmy Carr's new hairline following a hair transplant.

Carr, who is 48, appeared alongside Katherine Ryan, Rob Beckett, Nish Kumar, Rob Brydon, Oti Mabuse and Roisin Contay on the show and while it provided lots of laughs for viewers, some were more interested in the host's new look.

Posting on Twitter, one person wrote: "Is Jimmy Carr getting younger or is it just me?! Is he a vampire? Does he not age? How does he look so fresh faced after the year-that-shall-not-be-named?"

While someone else said: "Big Fat Quiz of Everything is really challenging to watch due to Jimmy Carr and his hair... Holy hell!"

A third person wrote: "Jimmy Carr looks strikingly different after his hair transplant! I knew he looked different but I wasn't too sure what had changed."

Some else added: "New Big Fat Quiz! Still getting used to Jimmy Carr post hair transplant."

Unlike many celebrities, Carr has completely open about the recent work he's had done.

Speaking at the Just for Laughs festival last year, he said: "I've had a lot of work done.

"I got my teeth knocked out and put back in.

"And then I had a hair transplant in the lockdown, which I didn't particularly need, but what else are you going to do in lockdown?"

He also admitted to having Botox, which might explain why he hasn't appeared to age a single day in the past 10 years.

Opening up about his hair transplant on BBC's Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer to hosts Crouch and Maya Jama, he said: "I tell you what I did, I went and had a hair transplant.

"I kind of had a look of a snooker-playing vampire.

"So what happened was my hair was socially distancing from my forehead and I'd had enough of it.

"I shaved my head and what they do is take hairs from the back of your head and they put them on the front.

"Basically, I had enough hair, it was just in the wrong place. It was a bit of redistribution."
