Unknown Osbourne child who refused to take part in show set to make rare TV appearance

She had previously shunned the showbiz spotlight

After Ozzy Osbourne's emotional funeral, it has been confirmed that his daughter Aimee will make a rare public appearance.

The Prince of Darkness, who passed away 'surrounded by love' on 22 July at the age of, was taken on his final journey through his home city this afternoon (30 July), with thousands of fans paying tribute to the legendary rocker and his family on the streets of Birmingham, fulfilling his final wish in the process.

His wife Sharon was joined by her three children Jack, Kelly and Aimee, the latter of which is rarely seen in public, and famously turned down the chance to feature in the reality TV show focusing on the family and their life together.

Back in 2020 she told The Independent why she decided not to be part of the MTV show.

She said: "Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on Earth would I want that portrayed on television?

"I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable."

However, it seems as if fans will get a small glimpse into her life after she agreed to appear in an upcoming documentary about Ozzy and his battle with Parkinson's in the final years of his life.

According to The Sun, the 41-year-old actress and singer was never keen on sharing the spotlight with her family, but following her father's tragic passing, she has agreed to appear in Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now, a series which will be streamed on Paramount+ later this year.

A TV insider said: “Aimee never wanted to be in the spotlight, she was never comfortable with the attention.

“However, she believed the documentary about her father’s life was a fitting way to break cover, as the special has a deep and emotive angle.

“Fans will be intrigued by what she has to say, nearly as much as learning how Ozzy coped during the latter stages of his life.”

Osbourne's former Black Sabbath bandmates are also set to appear in the documentary, with the 76-year-old taking to the stage one final time with the iconic rock band just a week before his death.

Speaking about the doc back in February, Sharon said: “This film is an honest account of what has happened to Ozzy during the last few years.

"It shows how hard things have been for him and the courage he has shown while dealing with a number of serious health issues, including Parkinson’s. It’s about the reality of his life now.

“We have worked with a production team we trust and have allowed them the freedom to tell the story openly. We hope that story will inspire people that are facing similar issues to Ozzy.”
