Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria has responded to claims that she mistreated her husband.

The yoga instructor and entrepreneur recently came under fire for the way she spoke to Alec on the red carpet when he kept interrupting her.

The moment took place in March this year, when the celebrity couple were being interviewed about the recent release of their family reality show, The Baldwins, which documents the couple's lives with their seven children.

Many people were critical when Hilaria seemingly talked down to her partner of 13 years, to the shock of many people on social media.

The couple were hosting a re-opening party for Planet Hollywood Times Square in New York back in March when an interviewer asked the couple about the show.

Speaking exclusively with Extra TV, the couple revealed how different it was to be filmed constantly, before Hilaria was asked if there would be a second season on the way.

After a bit of hesitation, Alec joked that it would be 'The Hilaria Show' after she said 'we're gonna see' how the first season performs.

He continued to interject while Hilaria was speaking, leading to her losing it a bit and simply saying: “When I’m talking, you’re not talking,” as she joked that they would need to 'cut him out of the show'.

After Alec paid her a compliment, she even told him to stop 'distracting' her.

Fans have been critical of the viral moment, but just a week after it broadcast, she shared a response to it all on Instagram.

Laying in bed, Hilaria asked her husband what the word of the day was, to which he replied: "Manterrupting."

She noted: "It could be a positive, it could be a negative, or it could be," before panning over to Alec, who stated: "Correctile dysfunction."

Hilaria said that 'they interrupt each other all the time', before ironically being interrupted by one of their kids who came into the room.

The couple could be seen laughing together, before rounding the video off with a kiss, which Alec said made him 'so happy'.

Hilaria captioned the video: "1. It runs in the family,

"2. Marriage,

"3. Manteruppting,

"4. Correctle dysfunction."

Despite her attempts to calm the hate, users still took to the comments of her post to share what they really thought, as one said: "I don’t believe you are going to be able to clean this up, hun. His face told everything."

Another added: "You’re making it worse….."

"The word of the day is 'rude'. You were rude to your husband!" a third wrote.

The Baldwins follows the couple and their kids as they split their life between their Manhattan apartment and East Hampton summer home, while dealing with the ins and outs of a family life.

When asked about the challenges of being yourself on reality TV, Alec admitted it was 'so hard' as 'you don't want it to be dull'.

The 67-year-old admitted: “If you showed the way our life really is, you’d get it after like an hour. It’s the same thing a lot.”
