Amber Heard pregnant with second child after leaving US to live different life in new country

Actress Amber Heard is pregnant with her second child.

Heard, 38, is best known for her role as Mera in Aquaman and her controversial relationship with Johnny Depp, which ended in a highly-publicised defamation trial five years after their divorce trial.

Since the settlement, the actress has left America behind for good, relocated to the Spanish capital of Madrid, and changed her name.

She also welcomed her first child, a daughter named Oonagh Paige, in April 2021, and has since lived a quiet life away from the spotlight.

However, it would appear the actress is expanding her family once again. The Pineapple Express star is yet to comment publicly on the news herself, but a rep has confirmed the news to PEOPLE magazine with the following statement.

"It is still quite early in the pregnancy, so you will appreciate that we do not want to go into much detail at this stage," the spokesperson said.

"Suffice to say that Amber is delighted both for herself and Oonagh Paige."

Further details about the pregnancy have not been revealed, but Heard was previously candid about her decision to welcome a child via surrogate, opening up about the process on Instagram.

"I’m so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms," she wrote underneath a photo of herself cradling Oonagh.

"I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way," she continued.

"I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalised to not want a ring in order to have a crib. A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this."

Heard rarely speaks to the media these days, however Conor Allyn - who directed her 2023 film In The Fire - told PEOPLE back in 2023 that she has been 'finding happiness' in Spain following the 2022 trial.

"She's living her best life in Spain with her daughter and just finding happiness in that way," he told the outlet.

It is understood that Heard had originally relocated to the island of Mallorca and changed her name to Martha Jane Cannary, according to Spanish outlet El Diario de Mallorca. However, she has since moved to Madrid.
