Marc Anthony has spoken out for the first time about the ongoing Beckham family feud, calling the situation 'unfortunate'.
Last month, Brooklyn Beckham confirmed long-running rumours that he had fallen out with his parents, footballing legend David and fashion designer Victoria, revealing on social media that he did not wish to reconcile with his family.
Among the claims in his lengthy statement was the allegation that Victoria had 'hijacked' her son's first dance at his and Nicola Peltz's 2022 wedding.
"She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life," he wrote, claiming that salsa singer Anthony had been involved in setting up the moment between mother and son.

Now 57-year-old Anthony has the feud directly, telling The Hollywood Reporter the entire situation is 'extremely unfortunate'.

"I have nothing to say about what’s happening with the family," he said when asked to comment on his inclusion in Brooklyn's statement.
"They’re a wonderful, wonderful family. I’ve known them since before the kids were born. I’m godfather to Cruz. I’m really close to the family. But I have nothing to say about what happened there."
It was previously claimed that Anthony had been involved in setting up the dance between Brooklyn and Victoria, with a source telling PEOPLE that he'd introduced Victoria as the 'most beautiful woman in the room tonight' – a comment which allegedly caused Nicola to 'run from the room in tears'.
"Nicole felt like Victoria did this on purpose, when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. What she couldn’t understand was why," the source added.
Although Anthony did not respond to reports about his role in the wedding, he did allude to there being more to the fallout than what's public knowledge.

"It’s extremely unfortunate how it’s playing out — but [how it’s playing out] is hardly the truth," he said.
Anthony isn't the first high-profile guest from the 2022 nuptials to speak out on the feud reports, with DJ Fat Tony previously sharing his recollection of events during an interview on This Morning.
"There was no… slut dropping, there was no Spice Girl action… it was the timing," he said of Victoria's dancing, in response to viral memes speculating about how the 51-year-old had danced.
"The whole situation was really awkward for everyone in the room," he said of the dance, adding that Anthony had told Victoria to put her son's hands on her hips as it was a ‘latin thing’.
"The timing was inappropriate for me. It was meant to be a bride and groom’s moment," he later told MailOnline. "It was in the heat of the moment."
