She said: "Hey everyone! I just wanted to thank you all so much for the good wishes and all the love that I have received this past week. It meant so much to me and really came at a time that I really needed it. So thank you.

Kate Micucci shared some good news about her health with fans.

"I have great news, which is that I am cancer free! The surgery last week went great. All the reports came back that it worked, I don't need to do any other treatment.

"So a big thank you to all my doctors and nurses and everyone that took just really great care of me. And thanks to figuring it out early because I am very very lucky and I know that.

"I'm just really grateful that things worked out as they did. I'm feeling really good today and I'm honestly just so excited and truly grateful. So thank you all for all the prayers and wishes. I'm just glad I can report some good news to you."

The comedian - who shares her three-year-old son with husband and musician Jake Sinclair - added: "I'm excited to hang with my little boy for Christmas'.

The actress starred as Lucy in The Big Bang Theory.

Micucci later shared a funny video that she had made with her friends the day before she had her surgery which helped take her mind off things.

The Scrubs actress captioned the clip: "The music video for the sped up version of You Got A Bike is out today. I was freaking out the day before going to the hospital to get my lung cancer taken care of. So I called up some friends and said, 'I need to laugh, let's make a video.'

"And I think it turned out really joyful! I hope it puts a smile on your face this holiday season."
