Kim Woodburn’s death at the age of 83 has led fans to revisit some of the TV star’s many iconic moments, including the time she ‘told Phillip Schofield straight’.

The How Clean Is Your House and Celebrity Big Brother star passed away yesterday following a short illness, with the sad news being announced in a statement today.

Her death was confirmed by her manager, who stated she was ‘an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person’ and that ‘her husband Peter is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate.’

Woodburn was unafraid of conflict across her time in reality TV, making viral moments on both Celebrity Big Brother and Loose Women as a result.

Her time on the 19th season of Celebrity Big Brother is what many will know Woodburn from, being part of the now-iconic ‘David’s dead’ moment and eventually coming third on the show.

At the time though her appearance on the show sparked controversy over allegations that she was bullied by other housemates, particularly singling out Coleen Nolan.

She got into various arguments in her time in the house, whipping out iconic insults such as ‘adulterer’ and ‘chicken-livered’, but this drew criticism of her.

Woodburn appeared on This Morning to address the criticism levied against her and to give her perspective, a show which was hosted at the time by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

After appearing she apologised for swearing on television and that things had got to the point where she ended up insulting fellow cast mates, but did not apologise for what she said, claiming you’d have to be a ‘saint’ to not.

She wasted no time on the show disagreeing with Schofield, who questioned whether she should have known what to expect when going on the show. Take a look:

She hit back, saying she didn’t know it would be ‘stinking’, adding: “They live in stink and filth, the lot of them.

“I went into a horrible situation. It did not pick up on television because, remember, it's filmed for 24 hours a day. They can only put 45 minutes out, which you include adverts.”

After Schofield and Willoughby suggest she could have left if she disliked the show so much, she said: “Why should I lose a massive sum of money for those bums?”

When he goes to ask her a follow-up question, saying ‘did you think-’ she cuts him off, saying: “Naturally, don’t you when it comes to earning your money?

"Would you lose a shed load of money, enough to buy a house?”

The clip, posted to TikTok, saw people praising her for ‘telling Schofield straight’, with one comment saying: “Who do these pair think they are? Fair play to Kim!”

Another commented: “What kind of questions are they. Not presenting more like a grilling.”

A third said: "I love the quote 'why should I go?' Preach!"
