Tyson Fury honours murdered cousin with latest child’s name

Tyson Fury and his wife Paris are now parents to seven kids

Tyson Fury has honoured his murdered cousin with the name of his latest child.

The heavyweight champion and his wife, Paris, welcomed their seventh kid on 18 September.

They are already parents to: Venezuela, 13, Prince John James, 11, Prince Tyson II, seven, Valencia, five, Prince Adonis Amaziah, four, and Athena, two.

Last year, Tyson's cousin, Rico Burton, was stabbed outside a bar in Altrincham, Greater Manchester in 2022.

The 31-year-old died as a result of his injuries, which were inflicted on him by Liam O'Pray, 22.

In their recent Netflix docu-series, At Home With The Furys, Tyson recalled the moment he took the call to say his cousin had died.

On the night of the stabbing, he and Paris were out in Majorca watching Anthony Joshua’s heavyweight bout with Oleksandr Usyk.

And the following morning, Tyson woke to a phone call informing him Rico had died.

"Last night I was on a high after the Usyk fight,” he says in the show. “We had a great party, me and Paris were dancing. It was a great night.

“Then this morning I got a phone call telling me my cousin Rico has been killed. It’s like someone took the plug out of me and all the life had come out of me.

"Rico had a whole lot of life to live and now he’s finished, shocking news."

And Tyson and Paris have now revealed the name of their new baby boy in his honour: Prince Rico Paris Fury.

The new reality series At Home With The Fury's is available on Netflix.

Paris explained to OK! Magazine: "All of my kids have got unusual names and obviously it’s also really personal to Tyson.

“We also added my name because I’ve had seven kids and I still haven’t had one named

after me, so Tyson thought, ‘Come on, it’s about time!’”

When Tyson learned of Rico's death, it sent him into a dark hole mentally.

On their show, Paris said: "Such a devastating phone call can change everything that’s going on in his life and I think Tyson found it really hard to process that it happened.”

Announcing the birth of their son last month, they told OK! Magazine: "We're over the moon to have welcomed our baby boy to the Fury family. His brothers and sisters can't wait to meet him and create lots of Fury fun!

"Our boy is the most perfect addition and we're bursting with love for him. It's crazy how you can love someone so quick."
