Daisy May Cooper has been brutally honest about the reasons behind her weight-loss, having shared the major transformation.
The 39-year-old truly broke through on our screens in 2017 as Kerry in the iconic comedy series This Country which she wrote with her brother Charlie.
Since then, she’s gone on to appear in the likes of Avenue 5, Taskmaster and Am I Being Unreasonable? which she also co-wrote.
And with the second series of the BBC show having been released earlier this year, Cooper admitted she looked a little different in the newer episodes of the comedy-thriller.

The Last One Laughing UK contestant has lost a fair bit of weight over the years as she previously opened up about what motivated her to do so, as well as some of the backlash she had for it.

Speaking to The Sun TV magazine, Cooper reflected on how she appeared in the different series of Am I Being Unreasonable? as she said: “It was a bit mad as since we filmed the last series and this series I’ve had my lips done and lost about ten stone so in those flashbacks, we were just killing ourselves laughing as we don’t even look the same people.
“But it was fun.”
Previously speaking to Grazia Magazine, the actor said she is ‘so for body positivity’ but when she was at her biggest, she was at her ‘most miserable’ and revealed she ‘had a massive food addiction’.

“I wasn't healthy. I couldn't breathe when I was walking up the stairs. I was so unhappy,” Cooper added.
Despite having gone about her own transformation for both her mental and physical health, the star revealed she was met by bizarre trolling comments for doing so.
“I've had some messages like, ‘Well, now you've lost the weight you're not funny anymore.’ What the f**k? Why do women have to be f**king fat to be funny?” she said.
Cooper said it made her ‘so angry’ as she will ‘champion anybody’.

“I think everybody should be happy with their body. But I wasn't,” the BAFTA winner added.

During a previous appearance on the How to Be in the Spotlight podcast, the star said her mental health treatment had contributed to her weight.
“I was put on some medication for depression, Quetiapine. It slows your metabolism right down to a crawl and it makes you have the munchies 24/7,” she explained. “I was put on it just before I started This Country. What people weren't aware of is I'd always been a size 8 to 10. It was that medication that made me balloon.”
She said when she came off it, she began ‘shedding’ the weight off and made it clear she’d avoided drastic procedures after a consultation for a tummy tuck ‘scared the s**t out of’ her.
