Diddy's ex-girlfriend Cassie has opened up about what she's referred to as the 'strange' text messages he sent her after the alleged assault at a LA hotel in 2016.
The trial of Sean 'Diddy' Combs continues in New York after prosecutors allege that the hip hop producer 'ran a criminal enterprise' and allegedly committed 'sex crimes, arson, bribery and obstruction', with it also being alleged that he 'directed' 'freak off' sex parties which prosecution claimed were 'coercive, manipulative events designed to break down victims and keep them dependent'.

Combs has plead not guilty to the five charges - one count of racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, and two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
Cassie, legally known as Casandra Ventura, was in an on-and-off relationship with Diddy from 2007 and 2018, and is the star witness for the prosecution.

The R&B singer who signed to Combs' Bad Boy Records label when she was 19 said it would take days to recover from the freak offs, which allegedly involved heavy drug use, physical and mental abuse, and forced sex with hookers.
A key piece of evidence used in the trial is 2016 footage of Combs wearing a towel whilst allegedly punching, kicking, and dragging Cassie in the hallway of a Los Angeles hotel.

The video was shared by CNN a year after Cassie settled an abuse lawsuit for $20 million with Combs in 2023.
Diddy also publicly apologised for the video and said he took 'full responsibility for my actions'.
Now, in court today (16 May), CNN has reported that Ventura 'thought it was a little strange' when Combs was 'suggesting something sexual' after the 2016 hotel incident.
“I felt that way from Friday [referring to their time at the hotel],” a text message from Combs read. “What are you doing.”

“Not a good vibe. We need a different vibe than Friday,” Ventura replied.
“F**k Friday lol” Combs added. “I don’t even want to do that again.”
“Lol true,” Ventura responded. Combs then referenced a card and told Cassie that he loved her.
“Love you,” the singer said back.
In another message from 10 March, 2016, Cassie describes the abuse she allegedly received.

“When you get f**ked up the wrong way you always want to show me that you have the power and you knock me around. I’m not a rag doll, I’m someone’s child,” she wrote.
