It's not like he can't afford it

Elon Musk has hit back at the alleged mother of his 13th child after she claimed the billionaire 'cut child support'.

Ashley St Clair, a 26-year-old author and influencer, reportedly met the X owner back in 2023 and gave birth last year before claiming the baby was Musk's on 14 February.

At the time, she wrote on X: "Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause."

The Space X founder is already the dad to numerous children with different women, including musician Grimes, who recently called him out on his own social media platform.

According to People, St Clair went on to file a petition for sole legal custody of the child. It's said that she's also filed a request for a paternity test.

While Tesla stocks are plummeting in the wake of Musk's appointment in a new advisory role to President Donald Trump, he is still recognised as the world's richest man and therefore it no doubt came as a shock and a surprise to St Clair when the 53-year-old allegedly 'cut child support'.

A video posted to X shows St Clair saying: "I need to make up for the 60 percent cut that Elon made to our son's child support."

And she certainly didn't mince her words, also calling Musk a 'petulant man-child' in an online rant.

St Clair wrote: "Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born. You refused.

"And you weren’t sending *me* money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary… until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for ‘disobedience'.

"But you’re really only punishing your son."

She added: "It’s ironic that your last effort in court was to try to gag me while you use a social media channel you literally own to distribute derogatory messages about me and our child to the entire world.

"It’s all about control with you, and everyone can see it."

Musk has since hit back at the influencer on X, sharing just how much he claims to be sending her.

He said: "I don’t know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed.

“Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year."

Now, I know that America can be expensive especially when it comes to childcare and education but if Musk is truly sending St Clair that amount, you would think she would (just about) get by.

Musk had six children with his first wife Justine Wilson, although one sadly passed away at just 10 weeks old. He went on to have three children during a relationship with Grimes and also fathered twins with Shivon Zilis, who also gave birth twice more in February 2024 and 2025. If the baby with Ashley St Clair proves to be his, that will be his 13th overall.

LADbible has contacted representatives for Ashley St Clair for comment.
