Gemma Collins says she makes more money than Prime Minister as she shares 'earnings'

Gemma Collins has no problem talking about money and has even boldly claimed to be making more dosh than the UK’s Prime Minister while she’s at it.

They say there are three things you shouldn’t talk about at the dinner table: religion, money, and politics.

But it’s a good thing none of us are eating, because the TOWIE alum has only gone and broken rule number three.

The reality TV star revealed that Keir Starmer’s salary for taking care of the running of Britain, has nothing on her earnings for being in the entertainment industry.

Gemma, who you’ll know from her time on The Only Way Is Essex, took to her social media to post some snaps of herself.

It was there that she decided to namecheck herself, captioning her series of selfies with: “Just google my name HUN.”

The 45-year-old added a line that seemed to come from the internet, which tipped off her potential earnings.

She posted: “Gemma Collins: The reality TV star can command premium fees, reportedly earning up to £75,000 for a single sponsored Instagram post. Her wealth is sustained through her own fashion and fragrance businesses, paid social media endorsements, and prominent reality TV and media appearances.”

The post caption read: “Yes, Gemma Collins does earn significantly more than the Prime Minister.”

It went on to explain that Starmer’s annual income is around ‘£167,000,’ but that ‘Collins has built an estimated net worth of £3 to £4million’.

It added: “Her annual earnings frequently surpass the PM’s salary, driven by high-value brand collaborations, social media deals, and reality TV appearances."

Damn.

While you might think it’s wrong, according to the ICAEW, Starmer’s latest salary figures are £166,786 per year.

Former Labour PM Gordon Brown's was £197k, and Rishi Sunak took home an official salary of £172,153 from 1 April 2024 onwards.

So, it’s not actually hard to see why it’s an easy number to beat as a celebrity.

Particularly when Collins has featured on shows with massive followings, like Celebrity Big Brother, Dancing On Ice, Celebrity MasterChef, and TOWIE.

She’s also done I’m A Celebrity twice, which hand their celebs a massive payout for taking part in the jungle competition.

Then there’s her podcast appearances, brand deals, advertisement spots, social media sponsored posts and fashion ventures.

So, you can see how she wracked up more money than even the leader of the UK.
