Gordon Ramsay is known for being one of the hardest-to-please chefs in the world, openly displaying this on many of his TV shows.

Notoriously known for yelling at chefs, celebrities, and staff, there's a reason why his most well-known show is called 'Hell's Kitchen'.

Hilarious one-liners aside, Ramsay is obviously one of the best chefs in the world, having a staggering 17 Michelin stars to back it up.

The picky chef can often come across as someone who would never stoop down to the level of eating fast food, as shown by some of his visits on 'Kitchen Nightmares'.

However, on a recent episode of YouTube series Last Meals by Mythical Kitchen, Ramsay revealed his ideal final meal before eating it, and one particular inclusion came across as a huge surprise to fans of the chef.

He named his full last meal as; A full English breakfast, butter chicken, Buffalo chicken wings, a beef wellington following his own recipe, a Monkey 47 Gin and tonic, sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream, and a deep fried Mars bar.

But alongside all of this is a fast-food order, but which chain makes food so good that Gordon Ramsay would want it as his last meal on Earth?

In-N-Out

The answer is American fast food chain In-N-Out, particularly their double-double burger, made animal-style.

On the show, Ramsay explained: "These guys are incredible.

“It’s the perfect drive-thru; you don’t get any hassle. I bring the window down, I give them a little $100 bill as a big ‘thank you', and I pick up my Double-Double. Heaven.”

The tasty burger consists of two beef patties along with two slices of American cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and extra house made In-N-Out spread on a toasted bun.

After biting into the burger, Ramsay says: “Oh, God. Bloody hell, it’s amazing.”

The secret behind animal burgers is that a layer of mustard is applied to one of the buns before it goes on the grill, allowing it to caramelise while cooking.

Fans were completely taken by shock when finding out about Ramsay's love for the fast food joint, with one user saying on X: "The fact that an in n out burger is part of Gordon Ramsay’s last meal is crazy to me."

Another user shared their surprise: "Gordon Ramsay having an in n out burger in his last meal line up is crazy."

Ramsay even admitted that he took inspiration from In-N-Out to make his own burgers, instead applying Devonshire butter to his bun instead of mustard before grilling.

Who would have thought that Gordon Ramsay of all people held In-N-Out in such high regard?
