Jennifer Aniston explains what it was like filming completely naked scene with Jon Hamm

Jennifer Aniston explains what it was like filming completely naked scene with Jon Hamm

The actress explained she has known her co-star, who she fondly called 'the Hammanator', for more than a decade.

Jennifer Aniston has revealed what it was like getting hot and heavy with film hunk Jon Hamm on the set of The Morning Show - and why she didn't need an intimacy coordinator to guide them through it.

The actor, best known for playing the iconic Rachel Green in Friends, dished the dirt on what went on behind the scenes when she filmed the steamy tryst with the Mad Men star, 52, while fully nude. Take a look here:

The award-winning Apple TV+ series The Morning Show recently returned to screens for its third season, but one particular episode managed to stick out to viewers - for obvious reasons.

In episode six - titled The Stanford Student - which was released in October, Aniston's character (aka tough-talking reporter Alex Levy) is interviewing tech billionaire Paul Marks (Hamm) at his Hamptons mansion when sparks start to fly.

He's hoping to buy the UBA Network for a tidy $40 billion and is trying to clean up his image, so ends up apologising for some of his earlier controversial behaviour as a wealthy gadget guru.

Most viewers have completely forgotten the contents of the tense conversation due to the fact of what happened next.

The stars had quite a steamy scene in series three of The Morning Show.

Alex and Paul end up continuing the chat between the sheets if you know what I mean and it made for quite the saucy sex scene - although Aniston said actually shooting it was 'awkward'.

The sheets are in a jumble at the bottom of the bed as the 54-year-old lies on top of Hamm and happily sighs: "That was a nice way to wake up." Oh, and they are both completely starkers.

The Just Go With It actress opened up about the filming process for the romp during a chat with Variety with her The Morning Show co-star, Reese Witherspoon - who said she didn't even think 'it was explicit'.

Aniston said she always felt 'protected' and was 'never uncomfortable', especially because director Mimi Leder was there.

Speaking of smooching Hamm, she continued: "Jon was such a gentleman, always — I mean every move, every cut, 'You OK?' It was also very choreographed.

"That’s the beauty of Mimi and our gorgeous editor, the music and lighting. So, you don’t prepare. They asked us if we wanted an intimacy coordinator. I’m from the olden days, so I was like, 'What does that mean?'

"They said, 'Where someone asks you if you’re OK,' and I’m like, 'Please, this is awkward enough!' We’re seasoned — we can figure this one out. And we had Mimi there."

She fondly referred to her on-screen fella as 'the Hammanator' and revealed she had known him for a 'long, long time'.

Aniston explained that Paul Rudd - who joined her in the final seasons of Friends as Phoebe's boyfriend Mike Hannigan - introduced them both 12 years ago.

Witherspoon then added: "Paul Rudd is his agent. I’m not kidding! I did a movie with Paul Rudd in 1996, and that’s when I met Jon Hamm."
