The siblings were delivered two months' premature and followed a difficult pregnancy for Nelson, which she had documented online.
Earlier this year, the singer revealed that her unborn children had been diagnosed with a rare condition called Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome TTTS.
What is Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome?
According to Hopkins Medicine, TTTS is a rare prenatal condition which can affect identical twins or multiples.

TTTS occurs when the twins rely on one placenta, as well as a network of blood vessels that supply both oxygen and nutrients while in the womb, instead of having one each.
This can lead to the vessel connections within the placenta not being evenly dispersed, which can lead to an imbalance of blood exchanged between both babies.

The condition is one which needs to be closely monitored by healthcare professionals, as the worst case scenario can see one foetus being underfed, which can lead to organ failure, while the other is overfed, leading to a potential overworking of the heart.
This meant that Nelson spent a great deal of her pregnancy in hospital undergoing various scans, eventually undergoing an emergency procedure to save the siblings' lives.

"The TTTS has cleared up," Nelson said in an update. "The operation was a success which is just absolutely incredible. We are so, so, lucky to have the most amazing doctors."
