Jon Richardson, comedian, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown captain and proponent of the only correct order in which to do the washing up (glasses before cutlery, then plates and bowls, leave the pots and pans for last), has reportedly spoken about his love life.
You may remember that the thrice defeated Carrot in a Box contestant announced in April that he and wife Lucy Beaumont, also a comedian, were splitting up after nine years of marriage.
In a statement, they said they'd 'jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways', having first been introduced by colleague in comedy, Roisin Conaty.
Following the split, Beaumont said it wasn't something they were planning on talking about in public as, while it 'might be weird for other people not hearing anything about it', they 'wouldn't talk about anything to do with the marriage or each other'.

She did say earlier this year that she sometimes felt guilty about talking a lot about her marriage, daughter and parents, saying that at the time she'd been 'grateful' to be getting work and interviews, and it left her 'feeling like I had to sacrifice and share everything'.
According to The Sun, Richardson was hosting a comedy gig for Absolute Radio at the London Palladium last night (17 November) in the hopes of raising some money for The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Charity.
Other funny folk in attendance were Josh Widdecombe, Dara O'Briain and Judi Love, with the latter's routine supposedly including bits about the challenges posed by trying to date when you're over 40.
They report that Richardson, 42, quipped 'it makes me think I'm so happy being single' in response to the routine, and that the comedian later joked that he no longer had to run the tap while evacuating his bowels in a hotel room because he's now got the place to himself, meaning he can expel his waste in a glorious cacophony should he wish to.
Of course, this being something a comedian said at a gig you should take it with a pinch of salt rather than as some revealing insight into the inner workings of his mind.
Remember, this is the man who said 'ultimately, it doesn't f**king matter' during a game of Carrot in a Box, when it was abundantly clear to all viewing that winning the vegetable based competition mattered a great deal to him.
Sadly for Richardson, he was once again defeated by Sean Lock in the Carrot in a Box rematch and then went on to lose the game for a third time in a row when he was vanquished by Lee Mack.
So, just bear in mind that sometimes comedians say things they don't entirely mean.
