The queen of quite literally telling everybody everything Katherine Ryan has opened up once again about her personal life.
Proudly unfiltered, the Canadian comedian doesn’t shy away from making her opinions known or from letting us in on the cosmetic procedures she’s had – such as this year’s flawless facelift.
And having spoken openly about sex before, Ryan previously said she and husband, Bobby Kootstra, were only having sex twice a month.
The 43-year-old had monitored this for fertility purposes, having welcomed their third child together (Ryan’s fourth after first born daughter Violet, 17) Holland, in October 2025. They also share Fred, five, and Fenna, three.

Another thing Ryan hasn’t shied away from chatting about before is that she’s pretty ‘vanilla’ when it comes to the bedroom, admitting she can be ‘lazy’.

Speaking to The Times this week, Ryan said that the amount of sex she and Kootstra have is ‘still not loads’.
“It’s probably once a week, sometimes twice a week, but still not loads,” she clarified.
And I mean, the pair are raising three young kids while Ryan, as she often says, works pretty much constantly from her upcoming book, First Born Daughter, to global comedy gigs and appearances. Oh, and there’s also the co-sleeping to factor in as Fred, Fenna and Holland sleep with their parents in one giant bed.
Plus, in case you were wondering, she clarified that Kootstra hadn’t minded when Ryan last made headlines for talking about their sex life like this.
“Bobby’s great,” she said. “I do know some husbands who would not want to be married to me. He doesn’t care.”
Ryan went on to explain that she is a bit of a ‘lazy shag’ as she said: “I just don’t try.”

Describing herself as ‘really vanilla’ and her husband as ‘quite vanilla’, the comedian continued: “We’re well matched in that way. But the things I’ve seen and heard on my travels, my God. I just want to have nice, brief, marital sex. That’s it.”
Having previously spoken to The Telegraph about her sex life, Ryan said she does think that intimacy is ‘important’.
“But in reality, working parents who have small children are so knackered by nighttime, intimacy is just off the table. We have to find stolen moments in the day like before heading to work or during a nap, which isn’t always very alluring,” the Last One Laughing UK star to be added.
