KSI breaks silence after Wayne Bridge pulled out of fight following John Terry comment about his ex-girlfriend

The fight was sensationally called off after KSI's John Terry comments

KSI has addressed his comments about Wayne Bridge's ex-girlfriend and John Terry after the former footballer called their relationship off.

Former Chelsea and Manchester City star Bridge had agreed to fight influencer-turned-boxer KSI for a Misfits Boxing event next month - which would have been the 44-year-old's first ever bout.

However, the fight was dramatically over before the pair even had a chance to lace-up their gloves — following some rather brutal comments on the YouTuber's part.

Bridge and KSI had gone head-to-head in a promotional event in January, where the 31-year-old made a dig at Bridge over his relationship with ex Vanessa Perroncel and her alleged affair with his teammate John Terry.

"Wayne Bridge, aren't you the guy that let John Terry smash your ex," KSI taunted. "That is what you are known for."

He then sang out: "Vanessa Woah, she jumped on Terry's d**k, it made the big boy feel sick."

Perroncel has always denied having an affair with Terry, with the allegations sending shockwaves through the sporting and entertainment worlds back in 2009.

Bridge would later famously refuse to shake hands with Terry a year later when their sides faced-off in the Premier League.

Despite the incident being over 15 years ago, it would seem the alleged affair is still a sore spot of Bridge, who confirmed on 20 January that he would be dropping out of the fight.

KSI has now addressed Bridge's decision publicly, by insisting that his comments were only made as a way to hype up the bout.

"When I'm on stage, I'm on there essentially as a character to, I don't know, I was just trying to create pay-per-view, create drama, create action," he explained during a new interview with Ariel Helwani.

"I wanted him to hate me. I wanted him to instantly be like, 'What? This guy. What is he doing? F*** this guy. I want to knock him out.'

"I didn't expect him to actually pull out completely. I was literally just trying to rile him up because I've had all types of things said to me, all types of things done to me."

Refusing to apologise for the jab, he added: "No anger, no hate towards each other it was all bless. But then obviously, when I'm fighting you I'm going to do everything I can to get under your skin and I'm going to literally make this event. I'm going to make this as big as possible and there are buttons I can press to get your riled up, I'm going to press them. That's just it."

KSI will now fight Dillon Danis instead of Bridge next month.
