Liev Schreiber chastised a reporter for chasing a 'soundbite' during a red carpet appearance for his latest TV series.
The actor was on the red carpet to promote his new Apple TV+ show Nocturne when a reporter seemingly asked him to describe the series in 'three words' – a question which the 59-year-old didn't take too kindly to.
"Talk to people like you value what they do," Schreiber told the woman, who appeared to be a part of the Apple TV team. "It’s not a... soundbite, especially when we’re doing it in-house for our own people.
"We're trying to make the show compelling," he continued. "So engage with the person like they're an actor, an artist.

"Three words... three words are not gonna do anything to anybody, and the monkey that thought of that is shooting themselves in the foot."

During Schreiber's outburst, the interviewer turned to her cameraman to check if they were rolling, before reassuring the X-Men star that the interaction would not be used.
"What I’m trying to say is," he added. "If you wanna give them something that they can use, talk to people like they’re humans, not like it’s social media."
The interviewer then posed a different question to Schreiber, which he took more kindly, responding: "That’s a real question; let's talk about it."
Schreiber stars alongside Zazie Beetz in Nocturne, with the FBI agents tasked with protecting a small town in Pennsylvania from an imprisoned serial killer in the upcoming crime thriller series.
Meanwhile, the serial killer is played by award-winning Adolescence star Stephen Graham, whose character has been described by the New York Times as 'so intelligent and seductive he seems to be able to murder people from beyond his maximum-security cell'.
The series is based on the book series The Sandman and Lazarus by husband-and-wife duo Alexandra Coelho Ahndoril and Alexander Ahndoril.

Reviews are not yet available for the series, but viewers nevertheless appear to be excited to see Schreiber, Beetz and Graham on screen together.
"I can't wait to see Stephen Graham and Liev Schreiber put the screws to each other. This is a pairing that should have happened a long time ago," read one comment, while a second added: "I don't think I have ever seen Stephen Graham in one bad thing. Just for him alone I would watch it."
Nocturne will release on Apple TV on 30 October, with an episode following every week, with the finale airing on 25 December.
