Speaking in the Instagram video, Mane revealed that only 1 in 750 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and that this counted for only 1% of breast cancer cases.
The actor filmed the video on the first day of his chemo journey, speaking about how breast cancer in men is rarely talked about so it usually is found quite late and has ‘worse outcomes’.
He encouraged people viewing to follow his Instagram, stating that he hoped to raise awareness by having people ‘join him on his journey to kick this thing in the a**’, adding: “F*ck cancer.”
Continuing in the caption the actor admitted that at first he was ‘embarassed’ and wanted to keep the news a secret. He added: “But then I found out that men are more likely to be diagnosed in advance stages BECAUSE it’s not talked about and not looked for.
“In fact, my doctors all dismissed it and it was only because my wife pushed me to get the lump removed that I got in early.

“So let’s start talking about it! [1 in 750] men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and if caught early, it’s VERY treatable.”
Fellow well-known names in the Horror movie scene were quick to wish him well, with David Howard Thornton and Damien Leone of the Terrifier series both commenting their support.
Thornton, who plays Art the Clown, said: “Kick Cancer's a** my friend! Lots of love to you. F*ck cancer.”
Leone also commented, saying: “Sending positive vibes brother, you got this!”

His wife, actress Renae Geerlings, commented: “We got this babe!”
Mane posted a teary update on his second day of chemo, thanking people for their support.
He said: “I greatly appreciate it, all the love, I’ve got this, I’m gonna kick cancer’s a**.” Continuing in the caption, the actor added: “First of all. Thank you so much for all the love everyone. I greatly appreciate it. I got this. I’m gonna kick cancer‘s a**. Thank you for coming along for the journey. We need to spread the awareness. Cancer sucks but if you catch it quick enough, you can win this battle.”
