A woman who used to date Meghan Markle's ex-husband has claimed he had a knowing reaction after finding out that his former wife was in a relationship with Prince Harry.
Markle had started dating film producer Trevor Engelson in 2004 and they got married in 2011, but the marriage didn't last all that long and they separated a couple of years later before finalising their divorce in 2014.
According to the Daily Mail, Engelson briefly dated Bethenny Frankel around the time that Markle and Prince Harry's relationship was made public in 2016.
Frankel claimed to The Toast that she didn't know who Markle was initially, only that she was 'a woman from a show called Suits' which she hadn't seen.

However, when she saw pictures of Meghan and Harry together, she texted Engelson to ask 'is this your ex', and he replied in the affirmative.
Frankel then claims she asked him 'Do you think she's going to close?', referring to whether or not Meghan would end up marrying Prince Harry, and alleges that Engelson responded by saying: "Oh, she'll close."
Essentially, she's claiming that when Meghan's ex-husband saw she was dating Prince Harry, he was pretty sure that the couple would go on to tie the knot.
While their relationship became public in 2016, Harry and Meghan's engagement was announced the following year, and they got married on 19 May, 2018.
As we all know, a couple of years later they announced they would be stepping back as senior members of the royal family and have since moved to California where where they raise their children Archie, six, and Lilibet, four.
The couple have largely tried to keep their children private, with Meghan saying: "All you want to do as parents is protect them.
"And so, as we can see what's happening in the online space, we know that there's a lot of work to be done there, and we're just happy to be able to be a part of change for good."
Basically, ever since she was announced as being in a relationship with Prince Harry, she has been the target of trolls and harassment, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex understandably wanting to keep their family as far removed from that as possible.
The former Suits star largely quit acting after her engagement to Prince Harry was announced, and while she has appeared in interviews and documentaries her time in front of the camera has been significantly reduced since joining the royal family.
However, there are claims that she will return to acting in a cameo for the movie Close Personal Friends, where she will play herself.
