Melissa McCarthy has left people with their jaws on the floor after showcasing her dramatic weight loss during a recent TV appearance.
The Bridesmaids star was hosting the latest episode of Saturday Night Live when viewers at home couldn’t help but take to social media to rave about the 55-year-old's new look.
McCarthy, who has been open about her weight loss journey over the years, has been on a regimen in the last few months, which has seen her go on to lose a reported 95 pounds, which is around 6.7 stone.
During her SNL appearance, the actress wore a black velvet jumpsuit, which was cinched at the waist.

As she kicked off her opening monologue, fans said they were ‘impressed’ by her weight loss, with one writing: “I'm really impressed by Melissa's weight loss progress.”
Another wrote: “So Glad to see Melissa McCarthy Back on the SNL Stage, and She Looks Fabulous!”
“MELISSA MCCARTHY LOOKS SOOOOO GOOD JESUS CHRIST,” wrote someone else.
The actress’s methods behind her shedding the pounds have not been revealed, but she's been open about the process in the past.
“I'll be up, I'll be down, probably for the rest of my life," she told Refinery29 in 2016 regarding her weight, noting that she decided to take a new approach.
“The thing is, if that is the most interesting thing about me, I need to go have a lavender farm in Minnesota and give this up. There has to be something more,” she said.

Then, when appearing on the Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM in 2018, per Today, she said she’s taking things easy.
“What's the hurry? I think everybody's always kind of working on something," she said. "And I was like, 'If I can de-stress and just do it slower and stop constantly trying to be on something'."
She added: “And then it actually worked better instead of being like, ‘I'm gonna not do this and do this and only drink this.’”
According to PEOPLE Magazine, she previously admitted to using an all-liquid diet, but it didn’t work out for her.
"I'd never do that again. I felt starved and crazy half the time," she said.

Instead, when she stopped worrying about it all, that's when she saw results.
The actress said during an appearance on CBS: “I finally said [to myself], 'Oh, for God sake, stop worrying about it,' and it may be the best thing I've ever done. I truly stopped worrying about [my weight]."
"I stopped overanalysing, overthinking, overdoing anything," she added. "I just stopped constantly being worried about it, and I think there's something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked."
