Mickey Rourke is reported to be ‘facing eviction’ after an official GoFundMe approved by the actor has been started to try and help cover his $60,000 in rent arrears.
The celebrity reportedly owes $59,100 (£44,006) in arrears, with the GoFundMe page having been launched by Liya-Joelle Jones, a ‘friend and member of Rourke’s management team’.
Rourke was a major face in Hollywood throughout the 00s, having starred in Sin City, Iron Man 2, and even earning an Oscar nomination for The Wrestler.
In recent years, however, he has made headlines for less positive reasons, having gone viral on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year after his bizarre feud with JoJo Siwa and subsequent banishment from the house.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Rourke received a three day eviction notice on December 18, leaving the actor in need of money.
The GoFundMe was set up yesterday, January 4, and has so far raised over $50,000, with the target being raised from the original £60,000 to $100,000.

Multiple sizeable donations have been made in this time, as well as a $1,346 donation from Bryan Adams.
Rourke initially became a household name in the 1980s, but retired from acting to pursue a career in boxing.
He ultimately gained a respectable record of 6-0-2 from his fighting career, but also has faced hardship as a result of it.
Rourke was forced to undergo extensive surgery to recover from facial injuries sustained whilst fighting.
In addition to this, the GoFundMe pointed to his fighting career as a reason behind his current hardship.
Jones said: “Boxing—real and punishing—left lasting physical and emotional scars, and the industry that once celebrated him moved on quickly.”

In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter she said of the situation: “Mickey is going through a very difficult time right now, and it’s been incredibly touching to see how many people care about him and want to help.”
The GoFundMe said of his situation: “This fundraiser is being created with Mickey’s full permission to help cover immediate housing-related expenses and prevent that from happening.
“Mickey Rourke is an icon—but his trajectory, as painful as it is, is also a deeply human one. It is the story of someone who gave everything to his work, took real risks, and paid real costs.
“Fame does not protect against hardship, and talent does not guarantee stability. What remains is a person who deserves dignity, housing, and the chance to regain his footing.
“The goal is simple: to give Mickey stability and peace of mind during an extremely stressful time—so he can stay in his home and have the space to get back on his feet.”
The donations have been accompanied by messages of support from fans of the actor, with one donation being left with the comment: “One of my favorites. It takes a village…it takes an audience!”
Rourke signed the lease to his place in March of 2025, initially costing $5,200 a month but later being raised to $7,000 per month.
