Millie Bobby Brown has left fans in shocked after revealing that, actually, Millie Bobby Brown isn’t her real name.

The Stranger Things star may have been in the spotlight for nine years but we’ve all been calling her the wrong name in that time.

The actor is currently on the press tour for The Electric State, one of the most expensive original films of all time.

She stars alongside Chris Pratt, with Avengers directors The Russo Brothers helming the £245 million dystopian sci-fi epic.

Whilst promoting this, however, she revealed the shocking news that Millie Bobby Brown is actually a stage name.

Don’t worry - it’s not like her actual name is some bizarrely different choice from the actor.

In actual fact, Millie and Brown are both correct, it’s just her middle name she changed.

She revealed to Buzzfeed UK that in actual fact her name is Millie Bonnie Brown. No, trust me, this isn’t a bit – we have checked multiple times.

She stated in the interview that’s the first time it had ever been revealed to a shocked Chris Pratt.

When Pratt, clearly confused, seems to question why she changed she joked it was for ‘sh*ts and giggles’.

The comments saw fans deeply confused, with one saying: “Wait is this fr”, and another asking “whattt really?!?”

Others on Twitter said: “She kinda ate tho bc millie bonnie brown doesn’t hit the same as millie bobby brown.”

And another said: “Plot twist of the year!”

Bobby Brown also made headlines earlier this week after calling out the ‘bullying’ of her appearance.

She went as far as to name journalists writing about her looks, saying: “I started in this industry when I was 10 years old. I grew up in front of the world, and for some reason, people can’t seem to grow with me.

"Instead, they act like I’m supposed to stay frozen in time, like I should still look the way I did on Stranger Things Season 1. And because I don’t, I’m now a target.”

She then read out some of the headlines.

"Why are Gen Zers like Millie Bobby Brown ageing so badly?" reads one title, while another asks: "What has Millie Bobby Brown done to her face?"

Little Britain’s Matt Lucas takes savage swipe at Millie Bobby Brown’s new 'mommy makeover' look."

Matt Lucas even spoke out, issuing an apology to Bobby Brown.

The comedian put in a statement on his Instagram: “Dear Millie, I just saw your post and wanted to respond, and provide some context. Nearly 25 years ago I co-wrote and appeared in a sketch show called Little Britain.

"There was a character in it called Vicky Pollard, who had blonde hair and always wore a pink top, and in the photo you had blonde hair and wore a pink top so I pointed out the similarity by posting one of her catchphrases.

"I thought you looked terrific and I was mortified when the press wrote that I 'slammed' you, firstly because that's not my style, and secondly because I think you're brilliant.

"I would not have posted it if I had thought it would upset you but I realise it has and for that I apologise. Matt x”.
