Oliver Tree is believed to have died after two helicopters collided in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday morning (14 June).

The American singer-songwriter was listed as being on board a chopper that crashed, with police not yet able to identify the bodies of the six people killed.

And tributes have poured in for the ‘Miss You’ singer, with Steve-O calling him ‘such a great person’ he was going to miss.

KSI is among those remembering the 32-year-old as he paid an emotional tribute on X.

Following the local reports of the helicopter crash yesterday, the Britain’s Got Talent judge first wrote: “I just don’t wanna believe it.”

Tree and KSI collaborated together on the song ‘Voices’ and the YouTuber wrote: “Genuinely wish this is just one of his pranks ah mannnnnn.”

KSI went on to share photos of himself and the musician as he reacted the tragic news of his reported death.

“Can’t believe I’m actually having to type this,” the influencer wrote.

“You’re 32 man. You should still be here. You still had so much life to live. So much music to make. So much content to make.

“You’re a legend and will always be a legend. Still doesn’t feel real. Genuinely feel sick. I love you bro.”

Tree was just weeks into his World’s First World Tour where had planned to play shows on all seven continents, with more than 70 performances across 30 countries.

In the UK, he had dates scheduled for September in Glasgow, Manchester and London.

He had performed a show in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 4 June and just on Saturday posted a video playing football in Brazil.

Easily spotted by his signature bowl cut, he released his fourth studio album in April; Love You Madly, Hate You Badly. And he was known for other tracks such as ‘Life Goes On and ‘When I’m Down’.

With local outlets reporting the collision and his death, Rio de Janeiro’s Military Fire Department said one of the helicopters crashed on a car dealership where several electric vehicles were parked, igniting a fire that was extinguished.

Police confirmed that Tree was on the list of passengers handed to aviation authorities, but they’ve been unable to identify the bodies of those killed.

According to AP, content creator Gaspar Prim Diaz (Gaspi) was also believed to have been in one of the helicopters.

Officials said an investigation is under way to determine the cause of the collision.
