People Just Do Nothing star and award winning composer Hugo Chegwin has very famous family member

Did you know that Hugo Chegwin - most famous for his role in People Just Do Nothing - has a very famous family member?

Hugo, 39, played DJ Beats in the mockumentary sitcom, which followed the lives of MC Grindah, DJ Beats and their group of friends who run Kurupt FM, a radio station in West London.

The show ran for five seasons and won a BAFTA award for Best Scripted Comedy in 2017.

As well as having a successful acting career, Hugo is also a composer, having teamed up with the likes of Sam Smith and Pixie Lott.

He also won two Ivor Novello Awards for songwriting and composing, for his work on Emeli Sande's track, Next To Me.

In fact, it was something his famous relative was very proud of, writing online: "My nephew Hugo with his two Novello's - Wey Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

So who is Hugo's famous uncle?

TV presenter Keith Chegwin is the brother of Jeffrey Chegwin, Hugo's dad.

Sadly, Keith passed away in 2017 after a 'long-term battle with a progressive lung condition'.

Keith - also known as Cheggers - was known for hosting kids' TV shows like Cheggers Plays Pop, Swap Shop and Saturday Superstore back in the 1970s.

Keith also appeared in Celebrity Big Brother back in 2015.

Many people had no idea the pair were related, with one writing on X: "How many of you knew that Hugo Chegwin aka DJ Beats from @KuruptFM is Keith Chegwin's nephew?"

While another said: "I only found out yesterday that Hugo Chegwin is Keith Chegwin’s nephew."

Every now and then, people realise that some of the biggest stars of the moment actually have a famous face in their family that they had no idea about. For example, did you know that Sabrina Carpenter has a very famous relative?

It turns out that Carpenter is the niece of none other than Nancy Cartwright, the voice behind beloved cartoon character Bart Simpson.

Although she is known for primarily voicing the mischievous youngster, Cartwright also provides the pipes for multiple characters in The Simpsons - notably Ralph Wiggum, Todd Flanders, Nelson Muntz, and Bart's younger sister Maggie.

While the pair are rarely seen in public together, they were last photographed at the Happy Feet premiere back in 2011.
