Romesh Ranganathan warns Rob Beckett 'friendship could end' in Celebrity Traitors tease
The Traitors is back, but this time, two comedians could see their longstanding friendship go up in flames, and we're all going to bear witness.
Celebrities are convening once again to whittle out each other for being either a Traitor or a Faithful, and boy, what a line up it is.
You’ve got the Game of Thrones' Bella Ramsay, James Acaster, Joe Lycett, Miranda Hart, Myha’la, Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckette, and more.

Together, they'll be under the supervision of cameras, the viewers, and of course, Claudia Winkleman.
However, unlike past seasons, this one is already proving to be a difficult one for a pair of established mates.
Romesh and Rob have been pals for years, having been on panel shows together like 9 out of 10 cats, and their own show, Rob & Romesh Vs, which first aired in 2019.
But usually, there's no such emphasis on deception between the two. Until now.
To this, Romesh says The Traitors could end his friendship with Rob, and not for the reason you might think.
He said of the reason that his friendship is being flipped on its head, noting: "Well, it's weird, isn't it? Because Rob is one of my best friends, and we've worked together for a decade now, but I still won't be able to trust it."
He said: "I mean, he's just as easily going to be on my side as he is going to twist the knife in my back given the opportunity. I mean, it's completely unpredictable."
Romesh went on to say: "So, it's going to be a weird thing where normally when we're doing Rob and Romesh Vs, we've got each other's backs and are helping each other out. Whereas this time, he can't be trusted. It can't be the end of the relationship because it's financially beneficial. But I think if it wasn't financially beneficial, then it could be the end of the friendship."
However, he also shared that he would also be open to deceiving his mate.
When asked if he'd stab his friend in the back, the comedian quipped: "In a heartbeat, yeah. Yeah, I think I would. It's all fair in Traitors, isn't it?"
Damn, Romesh. That's cold.
He added: "It's just a game that has real-world implications for working relationships."
To be fair, he's been able to act outside of his usual range when playing Katherine Ryan's love interest once upon a time, so maybe he can use his acting chops to win the game.
As for Lycett, they said they were surprised by the amenities they're going to be facing as they revealed a joke they were told by a previous contestant.
"I texted Joe Wilkinson and asked, ‘what are the toilet facilities like in the castle?’ and he said, ‘they’re fine unless you went in after Claudia.’ So there we go," they said.
Lycett went on to say: "I asked Alan Carr for advice of ‘how to spot a rotten little Traitor like you’ and he said, ‘just anyone that's sweating and giggling.’"
