In September of last year, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco had a private wedding filled with celebrities.
Attended by the likes of Taylor Swift, Steve Martin and Ed Sheeran, and officiated by Lil Dicky, the ceremony came two years after the pair started dating.
While they’re relatively private, they do often share little glimpses into their relationship with Blanco previously saying he ‘worships the ground she walks on’.
And Gomez also gave us more of an insight into what she was thinking on their wedding day, as she admitted she ‘sobbed’ pretty much straight after.

The Only Murders in the Building star was speaking at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women conference back in October when she opened up about her relationship anxieties, having long been open about mental health.

Gomez explained that when ‘something great happens’ in her life, she then expects ‘something bad to happen’ afterwards.
No matter how amazing and positive the thing may have been, she said she ‘personally’ finds that her mind goes straight to the worst possible scenario.
“So instead of being present and saying, ‘OK, wow, we’ve done a great thing,’ which I do, I’m always thinking, ‘OK, but this could all go away tomorrow, so how can I make sure that doesn’t happen?'” the 33-year-old said.
Gomez finds dealing with this mindset as her ‘biggest conflict’ in what are ‘wonderful’ experiences – like on her wedding day.
“I got married and then I was sobbing because I was like, ‘I’m gonna die the next day,'” the singer explained. “I just think that’s a little life thing.”
She previously told Interview Magazine that she feels ‘valued, seen and respected’ in her relationship with Blanco, which is all she’s ‘ever really wanted’.

“I’ve kind of been alone in the world,” Gomez explained. I was alone for five years before we got together, and I think that really helped me appreciate someone like Ben. He gets so weirded out by me saying this, but genuinely, 10 years ago, I wasn’t in a space in my life where I could have accepted the kind of patience, the kind of unconditional love that he gives me.”
And Blanco did confess some of his own internal battle as he said he finds he’s sometimes ‘so scared she’s just going to wake up and be like, what? No'.
But he laughed as he said that and Gomez reassured him: “You’re stuck with me.”
