Actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested yesterday just hours after footage emerged of him ‘terrorising New Orleans’ during the city’s Mardi Gras celebrations.
LaBeouf was arrested on two counts of simple battery, as confirmed by Variety, with videos since emerging of him headbutting someone in a violent scuffle.
A separate viral video shows him shirtless getting into a fight on the street with a different man, who threw the actor to the ground and began raining blows on his head from above.
The Hollywood Reporter had reported earlier this week that the Transformers actor had been ‘terrorising’ New Orleans, showing up drunk and shirtless at multiple bars and acting ‘belligerent’.

One kicked him out for being a ‘celebrity bartender’ whilst one video showed him threatening to fight patrons outside a bar.
A video of LaBeouf getting into a physical altercation saw him punched multiple times in the head by a man telling him to chill, pausing the assault to say: “We’re gonna beat the f**k out of you, boy. Chill.”
Another man came in from the side to scream ‘chill the f**k out’ at the actor.

LaBeouf has since taken to X following his arrest, posting a two word tweet on the social media platform, saying: "Free me.”
Police have since issued an update to reveal what happened in the incident, telling LADbible that a ‘39-year-old man identified as Shia LaBeouf’ had been arrested following an attack outside a bar in New Orleans.
He allegedly caused a ‘disturbance’ and became ‘increasingly aggressive’ at a business on Royal Street in the famous French Quarter.
LaBeouf was reportedly ejected from the premises and, after being removed, a victim reported ‘being struck by LaBeouf’ with police saying that he ‘used his closed fists on the victim several times’.
The actor reportedly left before coming back ‘even more aggressive’, leading to ‘multiple people attempting to hold him down’.
The statement went on to say: “He was eventually let up in hopes that he would leave - but he reportedly again struck the same victim with closed fists to the victim’s upper body.
“LaBeouf then reportedly assaulted another person - punching him in the nose.”
This led to him being held down again until police arrived, with the actor being taken to hospital for treatment of ‘unknown injuries’.
People in New Orleans had been taking to social media over the weekend to report LaBeouf’s worrying behaviour.
One post on X said: “Can someone please do a story about how shia labeouf is literally terrorizing new orleans during mardi gras because we had a run in with him last night and someone really needs to get that guy some help holy s**t."
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, one anonymous bartender backed this up by claiming that the actor was ‘terrorising the city’.
