Snoop Dogg announces he's 'giving up smoke' for family reasons

Snoop Dogg claims he has 'decided to give up smoke'.

Snoop Dogg has made the shock announcement that he is 'giving up smoke' for family reasons.

The rapper - who was once allegedly accused of 'smoking between 75 and 150 joints each day' - has stunned the internet with his unreal admission.

The Death Row Records owner is not only universally known for hard bars - but equally - his hard blunts.

While some think his recent tweet was a joke, others genuinely believe he is giving up weed for good.

Taking to X (Twitter) today, Snoop said: “I’m giving up smoke.

"After much consideration & conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke.

"Please respect my privacy at this time."

Commenting on the tweet, one fan said: "Today isn’t April Fools day Snoop."

"I know you're high posting this," another added.

"Damn, the world is really really coming to an end," a third wrote.

Someone else was backing the decision, writing: "Health above anything else. Snoops setting a great example to everyone. Respect."

Last November, Snoop publicly accused Renegade Piranha of lying about his weed consumption.

Piranha - a professional roller - allegedly said that Snoop smokes the equivalent of 75-100 blunts per day.

However, she later insisted she never made such comment.

Speaking to TM Hip Hop, Piranha opened up on her interview on the The Kyle and Jackie O Show, where she was asked how many blunts she rolls in a day.

The blunt roller said she rolls about a quarter pound to half a pound a day, but made it clear that total amount wasn’t solely for the rapper.

"That’s for all my clients combined," she said.

"That was then sensationalized to make it as though I said ‘one of my clients smokes that many’ or anything like that.

"So then all the publications then ran with this super bad—you know, bad journalism and sensationalized reporting of something that was literally never said.

"I feel awful, as I’m sure everyone else involved in the mess feels awful, because no one likes to be misquoted."

Snoop Dogg also took to Instagram at the time, writing: “B***h said I smoke…b***h, this is all in a day’s work. Stop lying.

“F**k I’ma smoke all that weed in one day? What am I, a f****n’ machine? B***h, this is the roaches. See…roaches.”

So, has he really given up 'smoke' for good?

I guess we will just have to wait and see.
