Sophie Rain explains how religious parents reacted to her career before she earned $43 million in 2024

OnlyFans star Sophie Rain has revealed what her religious parents thought about her career which earned her a whopping $43 million (£33.8 million) in 2024.

The 20-year-old from Florida is one of the most popular adult performers on the platform and has made life-changing amount of money from selling x-rated content.

Though her life growing up couldn't be more different.

In a recent interview with People, Sophie said she grew up poor and her family relied largely on food stamps.

Attending the Tampa church with them every Sunday, the content creator claims she still checks in for online services.

"The Lord's very forgiving, and he put me on here," she said.

"He put me on earth for a reason and I'm just living every day.

"If this wasn't meant for me, I wouldn't be here right now."

Notably, she credits her sister for initially helping her get set up on OnlyFans in April 2023.

"I was serving [food] at a regular minimum wage job and [my sister] was making so much money and I was like, 'I want to get on this,'" Sophie said of her sister and fellow OnlyFans creator.

"She helped me start and then it just took off. It boomed."

On what the rest of her family think of her career, she recalled: "I didn't tell them when I started it. At first, I kind of kept it a secret, and then they found out and they were upset.

"I was kind of nervous at first because I wasn't sure what they were going to think of me as, if that makes sense.

"I just told them straight up that, 'I post content online, this is what I do. If you can support me or you don't support me, and I'm sorry, but I can't help you guys.'

"But regardless of the situation, they didn't care. I'm their child and they love me."

Meanwhile, Sophie has thanked her top fan for spending a mega $4.7 million (£3.7 million) on her content between November 2023 and November 2024.

"We talk a lot, so I do know a lot that happens with him, but I know him from OnlyFans," she said.

"I try not to ask [about his age] just for my own sake. I know he is just a little older.

"I don't want to know exactly how old my fans are, just because I know a lot of them range from older. It's like talking to my grandfather sometimes when I find out how old they are."
